Sand Sculptures - A Kids' Review The sand sculptures were based on the Egyptians. They were great!! It must have taken a long time to put all the detail into the sand. They looked really real. The best bit was when we went inside the tent and it was all really dark. The sand sculptures were great. They were so realistic that I thought they were rocks. And if you get to the end there is a little gift shop with really good stuff like sand pictures in jars that a man does there for you. He can even put your name in.		More Information? What: From May to September, Le Touquet beach is transformed with eleborate Sculptures de Sables, or sand sculptures, appearing. The annual event is a long standing tradition, and many sculptors go to great lengths to produce the most spectacular piece of art, which mostly based on events or people.
