The
Nord Pas de Calais region is a land of traditions and authenticity,
personalised by its people who welcome you with open arms into
their many cultures, from traditional cafes where one can enjoy
a good carbonade or a timeless old Flemish game such as ‘marteau’ or ‘billard
Nicolas’.
The region is great for exploring by bicycle, from natural
beauties such as the Regional Nature Park in Avesnois, where
rock roses and wild carnations still bloom, to the Flanders
hills, shared by its famous windmills, some of which are
still working and producing flour, plus hundreds of kilometres
of sandy beaches.
Cyclists will discover more than 1,500 km of signposted
trails, from the lush bocages of the Avesnois, where rock

There are 22 well signposted trails for families and sporting
riders, taking you through this region renowned for its conviviality
